Mackie Piano is a single proprietor business that opened in 1990. After Jim apprenticed with a rebuilder for five years in New Jersey working on pianos of all kinds, he took a partnership in a piano retail store in Worcester, MA in 1986. Then, when his first son was born, he closed the store to be home with the baby. At that time, Mackie Piano was born. Jim repairs and rebuilds all makes of piano in his shop in Hampden, MA.
